I bought this bed based on customer reviews, but the headboard was cracked. I called Amazon and they said they would contact the manufacturer to replace the headboard. I am still waiting. There were multiple cracks, as if wood was wet and allowed to dry again. Very disappointed.

We purchased this bed for our 4 year old princess, as she grew out of her toddler bed. It was a long overdue purchase but I haven't been able to decide if I want to get a bunk bed for both kids or just a regular bed.
I ended up deciding to go with this one, since the cost was pretty low and we have a desk and book cases from Legare furniture that we totally adore.
I was a bit concerned because some of the reviews said the bed was more peach than it is pink, and I was very happy to find out that it is indeed very pink!
This bed arrived within a few days, took 10 minutes to unpack and 5 minutes to assemble, looks well made and sturdy, and just a pleasure to put together. Along with a 7" memory foam mattress that we purchased, it just looks absolutely awesome in my children's room.
I tried the bed myself to make sure it is strong enough for my active little one, and as I am 6 months pregnant and pretty heavy these days, I turned and got up and down and the bed didn't budge.
It looks really beautiful, extremely well made like our other pieces of Legare furniture that we own, and is just a really great buy.
I love how it is not too high, so my little one can easily get in and out, and it just looks overall beautiful.
Some reviewers mentioned a smell of paint, there is a smell of something, more like a "new" smell, but it really doesn't bother me, it smells new and clean, although I am a clean freak and very sensitive to smells, it is pretty faint and really not bad at all.
I would definitely recommend this bed, or other similar ones from the Legare collection. My kids room is full of Legare furniture now and it just looks great and holds up to their normal use without a scratch.

We didnt even look at the instructions. It was that simple. Headboard, foot board - both pink/peach (more peachy), then 2 side wooden connector in white and the base. No tool needed, just connect the 4 and it's done. It is a bit heavy, well constructed.
CONS: The bed finish smells like paint and it has been 10 days and it still has a light smell. So my advice put it outside but safe from the rain for at least couple days before assembling and putting it in your kids room.
Second, we put the bed against the wall and there is a gap between the wall and bed. The first night our toddler fell into it but she just called me and I helped her out. After that we put several pillows in the gap and it has been working fine.
Third, I would suggest you use around 6 inch mattress with this bed. We bought a 10 inch one and it is a bit above foot board which is fine but not perfect.
I am thinking purchasing a second one for my other daughter. I would really like to buy the same, the pink/peach princess one but I am thinking about getting the natural finish one just because of the pain smell on the pink one. But I really like the design and color of the princess bed.
Oh and I would not buy any other furniture but Legare after I discovered it. I also got the desk. It is so easy to assemble and disassemble, store etc etc.
