I have just started collecting the Fiesta ware. I love the cheerful colors and the sturdiness of of pieces. PLUS, it is made in the USA!!
The sea mist is a beautiful, soft color. The size of this little bowl is great for a few nuts, pudding, dried fruit as a snack, etc. I really enjoy using my Fiesta ware.

I own a considerable amount of Fiesta. I originally purchased it 3 years ago because I wanted durable dishes that could be added to and allow for creativity. I love all the colors and Fiesta has been around since the 1930's so I know I won't have any problems with replacement should any ever actually break. All vitrified china has factory flaws. Fiesta does not allow its first quality pieces to have more than 12 flaws. There are seconds on e-bay. Purchases made on e-bay should be made with caution because many of these piece are second quality sold as firsts. I learned the hard way. If you want china for everyday use that can be added to or easily replaced than I strongly encourage you to buy Fiesta. If you change your dishware frequently then you might want to buy something cheaper that isn't meant to last.

I recently decided to treat myself to new dinnerware as a 40th birthday present. After much searching, I decided on Fiestaware in an assortment of colors. I loved the idea of mixing and matching placesettings and accessories, and the colors are yummy and look great with my deep red dining room. Add to that the durability and oven to freezer to dishwasher capabilities and I was sold on the idea.The first of my order to arrive were 4 of the 6 3/4 oz. boullion cups in black, plum, turquoise and persimmon. The cups are a fabulous shape and the perfect size for making (among other things) molten chocolate cakes.
But alas, the persimmon cup had significant glaze flaws with bits of debris in the glaze in the interior of the dish (the other cups were fine). A big thumbs up to Amazon, though, for printing a label for returning the cup is a snap, and Amazon pays for the shipping. I chose to order a replacement cup in persimmon, and it arrived via overnight shipping before I could even ship the defective cup.
Much to my dismay, though, the replacement cup ALSO has significant glazing flaws, with a big glaze skip on the rim. I have yet to receive the remainder of my dinner ware but I must say I am beginning to wonder if Fiestaware was the right choice....
