Just got this in the mail today. It has a nice look to it and fits the phone perfectly- better than what I expected. It seems like it will protect from dings and dents from smaller drops (or hide preexisting scratches like I already have).
In regards to some other reviews: my case has open access to the HDMI port. I guess the design was improved.
Overall I'm happy with my purchase and I don't feel ripped off.

We both got the same phone (Samsung Droid Charge), but I bought this case for mine while she got a urethane wrapper.
Pros:
+Double shell (inner silicone with outer rigid clip holding it in place) makes it both shock absorbent and scratch-resistant. The inner silicone liner is a bit loose by itself, but the rigid shell holds it very securely in place.
+Sleek outer shell (the purple part) slides easily in and out of pockets without attracting lint.
+Raised silicone lip (the gray part, which is the liner) keeps the screen recessed in the event you want to lay the phone screen side down to expose the speaker. It also helps in the event of a drop onto a smooth surface--the screen won't be touched.
+Buttons are not concealed under anything more than the thin silicone skin, so buttons like the power button and volume control are easily toggled.
Cons:
-HDMI port is covered up. Although I've never had a use for it, in the event that I ever want to use the port, I'd have to take the case off altogether.
-The silicone layer sits too close to the audio jack, and therefore, some headphones might not fit properly. My cheap-o headphones fit fine.
-Bulk. Obviously, two layers adds to the dimensions of the phone, which is otherwise very thin. It's not crazy bulky like an otterbox, but still, the thickness profile of the phone from raised lip over the screen to the back increased the thickness of the phone by roughly 50%
Summary:
In all, I love the case, despite its thickness. I'd happily recommend it to anyone who worries that they might drop their phone. It comes with a screen protector which I threw on since it came with it. It doesn't detract very much from the sensitivity of the screen, except it is a little more difficult to clean with it on than with it off. If the screen protector wasn't free, I wouldn't bother with it. My wife's phone gets much more abuse (she has the same phone but with a urethane wrapper), and her screen is still flawless. This case is far superior to the urethane wraps, primarily because the buttons are only coated with the thin silicone underlayer. With the urethane, the button controls are typically much harder to manage.
